NeverBore

The rampant and dangerous musings of RT, founder of aspect+angle, in the never-ending quest to overcome the evil mediocrity of Film Strip Man.

"We don't do boring."

Ack! I Must Remember The Rules!

I very nearly broke Rule #10 the other day.

OK, I did break rule #10 the other day, but I came this close >< to writing up an experience as I saw it, based on my assumptions - and posting it here.  Egad (really, can we bring that word back into fashion?  It’s a good one) - that would have been embarrassing.

Not only would it have been embarrassing, it probably would have kept me out of a project in which I am now happily involved.  Making a mental note to re-read the rules daily - and apply them all.

(“What’s ‘Rule #10’?” you may ask.  Here it is. - 10. Assume that all assumptions are wrong - including this one.  You can check out the other 9 at http://neverboreblog.tumblr.com/therules.)

You see things; and you say ‘Why?’ but I dream things that never were: and I say ‘Why not?’

Ah - one of many, many great quotes from one of my favorite people, G.B. Shaw.  (I doubt most people realize just how many commonly quoted pearls of wisdom issued from this one man.)

The only horrible thing in the world is ennui, Dorian. That is the one sin for which there is no forgiveness.

Lord Henry Watton to young Dorian in The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde (a decidedly not boring person)

This is something that - I really wish I didn’t feel like I had to make.  I just hope that it helps someone somewhere - either to understand or to seek needed medical help.

As I noted on the YouTube description, I know lots of people with various mental health issues - some of them very serious - but… so do you, whether you realize it or not.

Depression shouldn’t be a terminal illness.

A little something I put together (mainly from suggestions) for the not-so-secret-secret-club.  Good practice for tracking and roto, too… (yes, I know there’s a wobble on the very first overlay - maybe I’ll go back and fix it as soon as I have “spare” time… hehe, that’s funny.)
